Specialty Session with Jeff Minard of The William Carey Library

Publisher Jeff Minard

Are you interested in world missions?  Maybe you have been profoundly affected by mission work, whether near or far, and want to share your insight with others. Would you be interested in a one-to-one consultation with a leading publisher of books on world missions?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you won’t want to miss Jeff Minard’s session entitled What Makes a Good Book on Missions at this year’s OC Christian Writers Conference. Jeff will share with attendees what readers are looking for and what you may have to contribute.  Whether you have long or short-term mission experience, chances are you have something valuable to write about and this session is sure to help you get started.

Jeff has worked in the Middle East, and Ukraine, and run or worked in publishing enterprises since 1974. He is General Manager of the William Carey Library based in Pasadena on the campus of the U.S. Center for World Mission. The William Carey Library publishes materials to mobilize individuals and organizations in global mission. Founded by Dr. Ralph Winter in 1969 to publish the best in current thinking on world mission, William Carey Library has a top reputation assisting the work of the mission executive, the field missionary and his/her home church, and the student of world mission, worldwide.

Some OC Christian Writers Conference attendees will have the chance to meet with Jeff for a one-to-one consultation.  If you are an author who has lived in other countries for over 5 years and have seen the Lord do His work, then Jeff would like to speak to you! In addition, Jeff is looking for writers you have an interest in writing books about cross-cultural experiences and sharing stories about ministry in other countries.  This is an excellent opportunity for writers attending this year’s conference.

The William Carey Library specializes in academic books and fresh reports from the frontier field by long-time workers and nationals, chronicling what the Lord is doing in the world. They produce academic books for universities, tell stories, and publish proceedings of worldwide conferences and gatherings. In addition, the William Carey Library partners with three mission magazines and the Perspectives course in world mission.
